What affects the price?
Before looking at specific numbers, it helps to understand what actually drives pricing. There are four main factors.
1. Hours of coverage This is the biggest factor. A 3-hour birthday party and a 12-hour South Asian wedding are completely different jobs. More hours means more time on-site, more footage to sort through, and more editing time.
2. Edited reels vs. raw footage only Raw footage only is the most affordable option — you receive everything filmed, unedited, within 24 hours. Edited packages include finished reels ready to post, which takes additional time after the event.
3. Number of creators One creator covers most standard weddings well. For large events with multiple simultaneous moments — a South Asian wedding with a Baraat outside while the bride gets ready inside — two creators means nothing gets missed.
4. Multi-day events Covering a Haldi on Friday, Sangeet on Saturday, and wedding day on Sunday is three separate events. Multi-day packages bundle this at a better per-day rate than booking each day separately.
The NJ, PA and NYC market — what to expect in 2026
Entry level (newer creators, smaller portfolios) $300–$700 for a standard wedding day. Can be a good option for smaller events or tighter budgets.
Mid-market (established creators, strong portfolios) $800–$1,600 for a full wedding day. This is where most experienced NJ/NYC creators sit. Expect next-day raw delivery, edited reels within 7 days, and a planning call included.
Premium (high demand, specialist experience) $1,600–$3,000+ for a full wedding day. Creators who specialize in South Asian weddings, destination events, or who have high demand charge at the top end of this range.
Multi-day South Asian celebrations $2,000–$4,500+ for full multi-day coverage. The range reflects the number of days, hours per day, and whether 2 creators are included.

Is it worth the cost?
Your photographer's gallery won't be ready for 6–12 weeks. Your videographer's film won't be ready for 8–16 weeks. Your content creator delivers raw footage the next morning.
That means you're posting on your honeymoon. Your family abroad sees the wedding the day after it happens. The candid reactions, the getting-ready moments, the things the photographer was too busy to catch — all of it, in your hands within 24 hours.
Most couples who hire a content creator say it's one of the best decisions they made. The ones who don't often wish they had.
What to ask before you book
1. What exactly is included? Raw footage only, or edited reels? How many reels? What's the delivery timeline?
2. Do you have experience at my type of event? A creator who has covered South Asian multi-day celebrations understands the ceremonies in a way a first-timer won't.
3. What happens if you can't make it? A professional creator has a backup plan — either a trusted associate creator or a full refund policy.
4. Are you insured? Most NJ and NYC venues now require a Certificate of Insurance from all vendors. Always ask.
